Keeping Up with Technology
What did camera companies do when a camera actually lasted 7-10 years ? What did they sell ? Now we feel obligated to get the newest, latest and greatest equipment. Constantly worrying about Mega-pixels. For several years now I've ignored the pressures of society, not to mention friends constantly asking, "what kind of digital camera do you have", but those pressures just became too great, so here it is, the Canon 40D. My goal is to wait several years before I actually need to replace this, or maybe I'll just wait for the next generation!

nice camera. :) i've been thinking of getting a new one and mine's not that old...but one of my friends just got a new digital slr and let me play with it a little and now i really want one. :P
i know what you mean about the pressures...my little sister got a digital camera last year for her birthday and it was slightly better than mine and i have to admit that i was a little jealous even though i tried to tell myself it wasn't a big deal.
